A man accused of stabbing a Garden Grove gas station attendant during a robbery was arrested while sleeping on a bus station bench in El Paso, Texas, according to Garden Grove police.
Mark Alan Farnsworth of Hawaiian Gardens was arrested Nov. 7 on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery. The 23-year-old man is suspected of repeatedly stabbing a clerk during an early-morning robbery of a Texaco gas station in the 12500 block of Valley View Street on Oct. 17.
The victim survived the attack, which was captured by a security camera, Lt. Frank Hauptmann said.
Farnsworth was identified as a suspect after police linked him to fingerprints found at the scene. He will face charges after he is extradited to Orange County, Hauptmann said.
