The congregation at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church launched a capital campaign last week to raise nearly $1 million for a church expansion.
The campaign proceeds will be used to modernize and expand the church’s kitchen, nursery and play areas. The money also will be used to add four meeting rooms and a 4,300-square-foot multipurpose building.
The church has already raised more than two-thirds of its goal, $650,000, said the Rev. Peter Haynes of St. Michael’s.
St. Michael’s has a parish of 280 families, he said.
