The Santiago Canyon College (SCC) Foundation kicked off a scholarship drive to help students with educational goals. Scholarships 2000 is focused on securing a minimum 50 donors who will commit $1,000 each for this effort. It concludes next May with the college’s annual scholarship awards program. A $1,000 gift can cover such expenses as tuition, fees and books for one full year. By adding 50 new scholarships, the college will have a total of 80 available to its student body. Pledges of $1,000 annually for five years will establish a named award in perpetuity. Information: (714) 480-7503.
