Mayor Peter M. Green has declared Sept. 13 to 19 POW/MIA Recognition Week. He asked all Surf City residents to join with Vietnam veterans of Orange County, as well as other veterans’ organizations, to honor all American prisoners of war, soldiers missing in action and the families of POW/MIAs who have endured immense sacrifices on behalf of the United States.
