Man Critically Injured in Oxnard Shooting

OXNARD — A 20-year-old Oxnard man was in critical condition Saturday night after being shot while walking through a parking lot a day earlier, authorities said.
Renato Pertis was being treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center. He was shot about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 2800 block of Saviers Road, according to Oxnard police.
Pertis was walking when a man pulled up near him in a car, got out and shot him, then drove away.
Police officers refused to discuss the motive. As of Saturday night, the shooter remained at large.
