Eco Celebration to Honor Activists

The Environmental Defense Center will honor local environmental activists Oct. 3.
The event will feature a live and silent auction, including a cruise in Lake Casitas’ first ecologically friendly electric boat, golf for four at the Ojai Valley Inn, lunch with Assembly members and a dinner party catered by the Environmental Defense Center.
The Eco Celebration, which will feature Assemblywoman Hannah-Beth Jackson as keynote speaker, will run from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Poinsettia Pavilion in Ventura.
The center is a nonprofit public-interest law firm.
