The city clerk’s efforts to get out the vote during the March election didn’t go unnoticed.
Juanita Zarilla just received a 2000 President’s Award of Distinction during the annual conference of the California State Assn. of City Clerks.
The association based the award on the increase of voters within the city and on Zarilla’s strategies during the election.
Zarilla previously won this award in 1993 for service in public relations.
