Trevor Jones
Newport Harbor,
Track and Field
Jones, the UCLA-bound senior, helped Newport Harbor to a third-place finish in the Orange County
Championships meet on Saturday at Trabuco Hills High He won two events--the 110 hurdles
(14.44 seconds) and 300 hurdles (37.76)--and finished second in the 100 (10.87). He was also impressive in the 1,600 relay, helping Newport Harbor come from behind to win the race by running his anchor leg in 47.8 seconds.

University, Tennis
The freshman won his sets, 6-1, 6-3, 6-0, in top-ranked University’s second convincing victory over No. 2 Corona del Mar.

Newport Harbor, Volleyball
Had 75 assists in Newport Harbor’s upset of then top-ranked Irvine, 15-11, 15-11, 7-15, 12-15, 15-13.
Natalie Golda
Rosary, Softball
Golda, who will play water polo at UCLA next season, combined with pitcher Mallory Anderson for an unbeatable
one-two punch for the Royals as they won five games, including
two victories over then
fourth-
ranked Loara and one over then top-ranked Mater Dei. Golda hit a two-run home run to support Anderson’s two-hit pitching in a 2-1 victory over Loara. Golda also hit two home runs in a 7-1 victory over Valencia.

Woodbridge, Track and Field
Won the long jump (18 feet 2 inches), triple jump (38-9) and 100 (12.35 seconds) at the Orange County Championships.
* Erica Sorgi
Capistrano Valley, Diving
Won the one-meter diving event (592.40) by more than 60 points at the Mission Viejo Invitational.
