GolfGear Reports Its First Quarterly Profit

GolfGear International Inc., a Garden Grove maker of golf equipment and accessories, on Tuesday posted net income of $103,647 for the second quarter, contrasted with a loss of $102,956 for the second quarter last year. Quarterly sales rose to $1.4 million this year from $943,508 last year.
The results marked GolfGear’s first quarter of profitability. Sales were aided by the recent acquisition of product lines from the Bel Air Golf Cos.
