The developers of Forster Ranch will host a grand opening Saturday for models of the final phase of the Forster Highlands project.
From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors can tour 12 of the community’s model homes, a mountain bike exhibition, a rock climbing wall, a virtual surfriding machine and refreshments.
The exhibit will be on the site of the future development, two miles east of the San Diego Freeway along Camino de los Mares. Directions will be posted on street signs.
The development eventually will include 618 homes. By 2010, San Clemente is expected to add 6,500 homes in the Forster Ranch, Marblehead Coastal and Talega areas, mostly in the northeastern portion of the city.
