LOS ANGELES — A man sitting in a parked car was killed by a suspected drunk driver Thursday morning, police said.
The accident occurred about 12:30 a.m. on North Crescent Heights Boulevard south of Oakwood Avenue, police said. Ronald Kelly, 29, of Westchester drove his car into the rear of a vehicle parked at the curb, police said.
A 50-year-old man in the parked car was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he died, said Los Angeles Police Officer D. Kemble. A woman passenger also was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Kemble said.
Kelly was treated and released for his injuries and was arrested on suspicion of felony gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, police said. His bail was set at $100,000.
