1 Killed, 1 Wounded in Shooting at Restaurant

LOS ANGELES — A man was robbed and shot to death at an East Los Angeles restaurant Sunday night.
The man, whose identity was withheld until relatives could be notified, went with a friend to Tom’s Burgers at 3566 E. 1st St., said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Belinda Johnson. A man came up and shot them both during the robbery, Johnson said.
The two men were taken to a local hospital with gunshot wounds, Johnson said. One was pronounced dead and the other was treated and was reported in stable condition Monday.
Johnson said she did not know what was taken in the robbery. Authorities were searching on Monday for the lone gunman.
