There will be a partial eclipse of the sun on Christmas morning. The eclipse as seen from LosAngeles will begin at 7:37 a.m., when the moon begins to move in front of the sun. At maximum eclipse, at 8:23 a.m., only a small portion of the upper left part of the sun will be covered. The eclipse will end at 9:13 a.m. Use safe solar filters or projection techniques to observe the eclipse.
