Hearing Scheduled on Dam Project

The county Office of Emergency Services and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled a community meeting Wednesday to brief the public on the progress of the Casitas Dam retrofitting project.
Officials will also discuss the emergency siren test last month that set off a false alarm and panicked residents living below the dam. The meeting will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Casitas Springs Community Center, 8437 Edison Drive, in Casitas Springs.
