The city is gearing up to begin the planning process that will shape the 121-acre Headlands development in the coming years.
The City Council on Tuesday will consider establishing a budget to cover the costs of hiring a project manager, and possibly technical consultants, who will aid the city in the planning process.
Headlands Reserve LLC, the property’s owner, has submitted numerous development proposals over the years and is expected to submit a new one in the coming months.
The city staff has recommended that the council set aside $210,000 from the general fund to cover the additional planning and consulting costs.
