Municipal Advisory Panel Has Opening

The Ojai Valley Municipal Advisory Council, which holds meetings on county government issues relating to the Ojai Valley, has a vacancy and invites registered voters to apply.
The empty seat is for the area representing the southern half of Oak View and all of Casitas Springs and includes the south part of the Creek Road area.
Supervisor Susan Lacey, who represents the area, said the board helps channel concerns of area residents to the county government and lets citizens get involved in local issues.
Those interested should call Steve Offerman from Lacey’s office at 654-2703 and are urged to attend the next meeting of the advisory council July 24 at 7 p.m. at the Oak View Community Center, 18 Valley Drive.
