Barbeques Galore Trims Quarterly Loss

Barbeques Galore Ltd. in Irvine reported a fiscal first-quarter loss of $815,000, or 18 cents a share, an improvement over last year’s first-quarter loss of $848,000, or 19 cents a share. Sales rose 17% to $34.7 million for the three months ending April 30. The company operates a chain of stores that sell barbecues, fireside products and related accessories.
