A 6-4 pitcher-first baseman, Adamczyk batted .381 with four homers and was one of five Warriors with more than 20 RBIs. A right-hander, he was 8-1 and allowed 34 hits in 56 innings.

Chris Cordeiro

Pitcher

A repeat selection, the 6-3 right-hander walked only 12 while striking out 106 in 75 innings and posted an ERA of 1.41. Cordeiro, who has signed with UCLA, also batted .389.

John Gonzalez

Pitcher

A crafty left-hander, Gonzalez won two Division I playoff games -- the Scorpions’ first postseason victories under Coach Scott Cline -- to give him a 10-2 record.

Joey Hamer

Newbury Park / Senior

Catcher

A four-year starter with quick hands and a strong arm behind the plate, Hamer batted .471 with 12 doubles, two triples and six home runs. Hamer was drafted by the Minnesota Twins.

Jesse Kozlowski

Westlake / Senior

Pitcher

A ninth-round draft choice of the Florida Marlins, Kozlowski was 8-1 with an ERA of 1.65. The 6-3 right-hander defeated archrival Thousand Oaks twice and batted .378.

Brian Lipman

Royal / Senior

Infield

The region’s all-time home leader with 33, Lipman led the county with 13 homers and 47 RBIs this season. Lipman, who will attend Troy (Ala.) State, had 46 hits and batted .511.

Mike Serrata

Hueneme / Senior

Outfield

Combining power and speed, Serrata batted .467 with 13 doubles and nine triples. The 6-3 right-handed hitter has signed with Northridge and was drafted by the Oakland Athletics.

Jon Shepard

Westlake / Senior

Outfield

The leadoff batter for the Marmonte League champion Warriors, the left-handed hitting Shepard batted .479 with 45 hits, 36 runs and 17 stolen bases.

Cory Taillon

Westlake/ Senior

Outfield In addition to batting .473 with 44 hits and 30 runs, Taillon was one of the region’s best right fielders, throwing out several runners at home in key situations.

Spencer Wyman

Camarillo / Senior

Catcher

A patient left-handed power hitter, Wyman drove in 38 runs and hit eight home runs while drawing 33 walks. Wyman, who will attend California, has a great glove and arm.

Delmon Young

Camarillo / Freshman

Outfield

The first freshman selection since his brother, Dmitri, in 1988, Young tied a school record with 46 hits. The 6-3 right-handed hitter had 12 doubles and 40 RBIs.

Scott Cline

Camarillo

The Scorpions (24-6) were Pacific View League champions and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Division I playoffs. Cline, who led Camarillo to the baseball and football finals as a player in the early 1980s, is 122-41 in six years. His teams have never lost more than eight games in a season.
