PALMDALE — The 18-year-old ex-boyfriend of a woman cab driver who was burned to death was arrested Wednesday in her slaying, sheriff’s investigators said.
Ryan O’Neal Willis of Palmdale was booked into the Los Angeles County sheriff’s station in Lancaster, where he is being held without bail, said Sheriff’s Det. Michael Scott.
Cab driver Crystal Angelica Stahl, 29, of Palmdale, was alive when she was set ablaze, Scott said. Her body was found Jan. 6 in the back seat of the burning cab in a church parking lot in the 37700 block of Palm Vista Avenue in Palmdale. The car was owned by United Independent Cab Co. of Lancaster.
Scott declined to comment on the motive for the slaying.
Willis will be arraigned Friday in Antelope Municipal Court.
