Local Companies Stage ‘Nutcracker’

Local and international dancers will share the stage for the eighth straight year to present the annual production of “The Nutcracker” on Nov. 18 and 19.
The Ventura County Ballet Company and Ballet Ventura School will perform the ballet, which is choreographed by Clarissa Boeriu. The production will feature local dancers along with eight guest artists.
The performances are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center, 800 Hobson Way.
Tickets are $19, $15 and $10, or a family packet of four tickets for $45. Tickets can be purchased by calling 486-2424 or directly from Ballet Ventura School at 643-8909.
