EarthLink founder Sky Dayton will look at the Internet’s ongoing role in reshaping traditional economic sectors such as manufacturing, transportation and agriculture Tuesday at a meeting of the TownHall Los Angeles issues forum. Dayton, also co-founder of a Santa Monica business that nurtures Internet start-ups, also will discuss the need for the young, “irrationally exuberant” “new economy” to take a cue from the “old economy” and establish what he calls “more mature organizations.” His remarks are scheduled for noon at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel, 251 S. Olive St. For more information, call (213) 628-8141.
