Ian Elliott’s goal-keeping and a strong defensive effort sparked Foothill to an 8-5 victory over North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake in a Division I Southern Section boys’ water polo quarterfinal Tuesday at Harvard-Westlake.
“Elliott had a strong game for us,” Foothill Coach Jim Brumm said. “We had some great defense from Brian Alexander and Brad Unroe at two meters. But this was a team effort. And these guys really stepped it up.”
Elliott finished with 13 saves.
Alexander, Wes Fox and Blake Seymour scored two goals each for Foothill (18-11).
