Servite gets a second chance against Edison after coming up a couple of yards short in the teams’ first meeting in Week 5. The Friars were stuffed on two crucial fourth-and-short situations that, had they been converted, could have altered the outcome of the Chargers’ 35-33 victory. Los Alamitos enters the playoffs as the No. 3 team from its league for the first time since 1990, when the Griffins lost in the first round to Newhall Hart. Again, they are underdogs to third-seeded Eisenhower, which is led by quarterback Idris Moss. But Los Alamitos Coach John Barnes isn’t intimidated. “It’s not like this is the first time this season we’ve played a tough team,” he said. True.
