The Planning Commission will meet Thursday to consider a request to rezone 42 acres designated for medical and science purposes for use as a self-storage mini-warehouse instead.
The project area, bordered by Irvine Center Drive, Sand Canyon Avenue, Laguna Canyon Road and Barranca Parkway, would be home to the third mini-storage facility in Irvine, officials said.
The commission meets at 6:30 p.m. in the council chamber at City Hall, 1 Civic Center Plaza.
