SEASON AT A GLANCE: The 6-foot-1 middle blocker has led the Regents to a 12-0 record and the No. 2 ranking in The Times’ regional poll. Ryan, who has committed to Santa Clara, recently became the first La Reina player to surpass 1,000 career kills. Ryan, who has a .487 hitting percentage this season, has 1,038 career kills.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Ryan led the Regents to a nonleague sweep of Westlake, ranked No. 3 in the region, and was selected most valuable player of the Royal tournament. She had 15 kills against the Warriors and totaled 79 in the day-long tournament at Royal. She had 11 kills in La Reina’s 15-11, 16-14 victory over Upland in the tournament final.
