On a rainy night, the Frogs nearly croaked at Tulsa. It wasn’t a coincidence that Tomlinson struggled with 119 yards in 27 carries. This was supposed to be the week he went wild against one of the nation’s worst run defenses.

The Seminoles rolled up 554 yards on offense against Virginia, including 426 through the air, but Weinke accounted for only 274 on 16 of 28 passing and two touchdowns. The 37-3 victory was considered “sluggish.”

Brees became the Big Ten’s career passing leader and also earned his first victory over Wisconsin. He completed 21 of 43 for 274 yards, which ironically is his worst statistical performance against the Badgers.
