Oak Park Teen Hurt When Car Hits Tree

An 18-year-old Oak Park man was in critical condition at Los Robles Regional Medical Center after his car smashed into a tree on Kanan Road in Thousand Oaks early Saturday.
Nicolas Henderson was driving west on Kanan near Collingswood Court about 6 a.m.--reportedly on his way to a soccer tournament--when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree on the side of the road, said Renee Ferguson, a senior deputy with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
Ferguson said a preliminary investigation indicates “inattention” as a possible cause of the crash.
