War Crimes Trial Opens for Rwandans

Four Rwandans went on trial in Brussels, charged with taking part in the massacre of 5,000 people in Rwanda in 1994.
The four are the first people to be charged under a law that allows Belgium to prosecute noncitizens for war crimes committed elsewhere.
Two nuns, Sisters Gertrude and Maria, are charged with helping Hutu extremists kill more than 5,000 people at their convent in southern Rwanda, a former Belgian colony.
The other defendants are university professor Vincent Ntezimana and businessman Alphonse Higaniro.
