Storage Tank Leaking Gasoline Into Ground

A massive gasoline storage tank terminal south of the San Bernardino Freeway on the border of Colton has been leaking gasoline into the ground for 25 years, officials said Monday.
No drinking water is known to be in immediate danger of contamination. But a local water agency drilled two drinking-water wells within a mile of the southbound plume of contamination, apparently unaware of its existence.
