With added footage, there’s more Jay and Silent Bob--the two irreverent characters who harass customers and reflect on their boredom--in Kevin Smith’s “Clerks: Special Edition” (5, 7 and 9 p.m. IFC).
“The Great Escape,” the 1963 classic set in a German prisoner-of-war camp during World War II, follows a handful of masterful and quirky Allied soldiers as they plan and execute their jailbreak. Steve McQueen, James Donald, James Garner and Richard Attenborough form an all-star ensemble (7 p.m. TCM).
