Poundstone Released From Drug Rehab Center

A Santa Monica judge on Wednesday ordered comedian Paula Poundstone released from a Malibu drug rehabilitation center, where she spent six months receiving court-mandated treatment.
Poundstone, 41, was sentenced to five years’ probation and stripped of her right to be a foster parent after pleading no contest to endangering her foster and adopted children earlier this year. She now must attend psychiatric counseling, participate in a child abuse prevention program and stay away from alcohol and drugs.
Defense attorney Steven Cron said she will complete probation.
