City Limits Size of Big-Box Stores

The City Council passed a big-box store size limit that prohibits stores larger than 140,000 square feet and restricts parking lots.
The 3-2 vote on the ordinance Tuesday is intended to keep sprawling, unattractive buildings and parking lots out of the city. A planned 138,000-square-foot Costco warehouse store led to the law.
