Investigators served a search warrant to peruse financial records at the McKenna BMW Porsche Audi dealership Thursday but made no arrests, authorities said.
The warrant was served about 9 a.m. at the Firestone Boulevard business. The search was part of a continuing investigation into alleged fraudulent use of information, and use of false information, to purchase vehicles, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Val Rosario.
About 50 officers participated in the raid, which was conducted by the Task Force for Regional Auto Theft Prevention. The task force includes representatives from the Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Police Department, California Highway Patrol and state Department of Motor Vehicles.
Employees of the dealership were cooperative, and the search was conducted without incident, Rosario said.
