Drossin Gets Measure of Fame

Deena Drossin, winner of the women’s 10,000 meters in the U.S. Olympic track and field trials last summer, will be inducted into the New York Jewish Sports Hall of Fame on March 25.

Drossin, a 1991 graduate of Agoura High, set a meet record of 31:51.05 in the 10,000 at the trials and placed second in the 5,000.

BASEBALL

* Cal State Northridge postponed its game against Washington State on Friday because of rain and has rescheduled it as part of a doubleheader at 11 a.m. today.

* Former Cal State Northridge infielder Eric Gillespie signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers and the Angels signed former St. Francis and USC first baseman J.P. Roberge to a minor-league contract.

Pitcher Steve Montgomery, from Pepperdine, signed a minor-league contract with the San Diego Padres.
