2 Arrested in Death; 3rd Suspect Is Sought

Two suspects have been arrested in the murder of a Newhall newspaper employee, authorities said.
Pacoima residents Leugardo Martinez, 46, and Rafael Hinojosa, 38, are suspected of killing 24-year-old Augustin Garcia of Santa Clarita, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Lendman said.
Garcia’s body was found Sunday afternoon in the 26000 block of Springbrook Avenue in Santa Clarita. Earlier that day, he was seen being thrown into a van by three men outside the Signal newspaper offices, where he worked in the pressroom.
A third suspect is being sought, Lendman said.
A motive for the slaying has not been determined, he said.
