Pepperdine Golfers Enjoy Big Day

Pepperdine rolled to a decisive victory and Wave senior Jason Allred earned medalist honors in The Club Glove Intercollegiate golf tournament Tuesday at Saticoy Country Club in Somis.
The Waves, ranked No. 17 nationally in the Golf World magazine poll, posted a two-day, 54-hole total of 874-establishing a record in the 12-team event-to defeat runner-up Fresno State (891) by 17 strokes.
Allred shot an even-par 216 with rounds of 74-67-75. Jonathan Nichols of Fresno State finished second with a two-over 218, and Pepperdine sophomore Randy Creighton was third with a three-over 219.
