Fire Chief Due Back From NYC by Sept. 27

Fire Chief Mike McGroaty is among those in New York this week helping with the recovery mission at the World Trade Center site.
But he is expected to return in time for the Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural Police and Fire Recognition Breakfast on Sept. 27.
“Unfortunately, what happened highlights how important it is that we show our police and fire officials how much we appreciate them,” chamber spokeswoman Julie Schweizer said.
The breakfast starts at 7:15 a.m. at Westridge Golf Club on South La Habra Hills Drive.
