1 Killed, 3 Hurt in Costa Mesa Crash

One person was killed and three injured in a traffic accident near South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa police said Sunday.
Witnesses said the driver of an SUV lost control and struck a car about 11:30 a.m. at Fairview Road and South Coast Drive, police said.
The SUV rolled several times before hitting a wall, police said.
The driver of the SUV, Luther Mitchell, 19, of Costa Mesa, was dead at the scene.
His two passengers were hurt: Isaac Sepulveda, 20, of Palm Desert suffered serious injuries and Nadar Abedrabo, 20, of Costa Mesa had minor injuries.
Vicki Phillips, 41, of San Diego, who was in the car, suffered minor injuries.
