Series Trophy Takes Its Lumps

The Angels waited 42 years to win a World Series championship trophy. The trophy did not last 42 days before breaking.
The championship trophy includes 30 small flags, one for each major league team. Amid the celebration -- victory laps by Tim Salmon and Garret Anderson at Edison Field, three parades and television appearances -- six flags came loose from the trophy. It is being repaired.
