Edison’s Martinez Commits to Hawaii
A.J. Martinez, a defensive back for Huntington Beach Edison, has committed to Hawaii, Edison Coach Dave White said.
Martinez, 6-feet, 180 pounds, was a first-team selection on The Times’ All-Region team after helping Edison reach the Southern Section Division I championship game.
White said that defensive back Chucky Linman and offensive lineman Ryan Keating have also committed. Linman plans on signing with Fresno State and Keating is expected to sign with Boise State.
Also, offensive lineman Chris Gonzalez received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy and will play football, White said.
