Authorities are investigating whether three men arrested in Los Angeles after a two-hour pursuit Sunday are connected to an attempted robbery and shooting in Castaic.
The pursuit of a black BMW began about 8 a.m. in the Santa Clarita Valley when officers tried to pull over the vehicle at a routine traffic stop.
It ended about 10:20 a.m. at Soto Street and Cesar E. Chavez Avenue in Boyle Heights when the vehicle apparently ran out of gas, Los Angeles Police Officer Ed Funes said.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department investigators are examining whether the three suspects were involved in a robbery in Castaic.
Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Young said a man was shot and wounded in that incident about 7 a.m. He said detectives will show pictures of the suspects involved in the pursuit to the victim.
