Board Cannot Remove Judge From Ballot

Orange County supervisors cannot remove a judge’s name from the March ballot even though he is under house confinement on charges of molestation and possessing child pornography, authorities said Tuesday.
County Counsel Benjamin de Mayo said only a court has the authority to remove names from the ballot.
