Mayor Seeks Raise for Self, Council Members

Mayor Carmen Sabatino wants a hefty pay raise and plans to ask the City Council to place a charter amendment before voters.
Sabatino wants to increase his pay by more than 500% and double council members’ salaries. If the charter amendment is approved by voters, the mayor would make $61,400 a year and council members would get $21,000. Sabatino and the council members now make $9,600 annually.
