Guns, Toys and Cats Expected at Fairgrounds

The Ventura County Fairgrounds will be the site of three popular events this weekend.
Six hundred vendors will set up shop for a two-day gun show, which typically attracts about 7,000 people, said Lori McMann, the show’s manager.
The gun show will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in Anacapa and San Miguel halls. Admission is $8, and children 11 and younger are free.
In Santa Rosa Hall, a doll, bear and toy show will feature about 70 vendors. The toy show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday only. Admission is $4.50 for adults, $3 for children ages 4 to 12 and free for children 3 and younger.
Finally, a few hundred felines will gather for an all-breed cat show sponsored by the Crown City Cat Club. The show will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday in Santa Cruz Hall. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children.
