Storm Flooding Hits Farms, Roads in 3 States

Flood waters from storms that have killed nine people in Missouri in the last week inundated farmland and closed roads in three states, officials said.
“We have a lot of roads closed, a lot of standing water,” said Susie Stonner of the Missouri Emergency Management Agency.
Major flooding also was reported along the Kankakee and White rivers in Indiana, and the National Weather Service said the Sangamon and Illinois rivers in central Illinois were rising toward the second highest levels on record.
