Supervisors Postpone Raising Building Fee
- Share via
The Board of Supervisors has postponed its planned consideration today of major hikes in building inspection fees.
County officials want to raise the fees to balance the budget of the Planning Department, which has been spending more money than has been taking in.
They say the new fees are needed to stem a $200,000 weekly deficit at the department, which has laid off 20% of its employees to help cover the deficit.
