BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Bryce Taylor, North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake: Scored a school-record 53 points to lift No. 11 Harvard-Westlake to a 94-85 victory over No. 10 Loyola. Taylor made 19 of 33 shots and all 11 free throws. The Wolverines moved into a first-place tie with Loyola in the Mission League.
Wendell White, Redondo: Had 38 points and 16 rebounds in an 83-50 victory over Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Unique Bennett, San Bernardino: Scored 12 of her 17 points in the final 8:11 in a 49-40 victory over Cajon that stopped Cajon’s school-record 21-game win streak.
Brynn Cameron, Newbury Park: Scored 27 points, including a free throw after time expired, in a 56-55 victory over Simi Valley Royal. It was the first Marmonte League loss for Royal.
