American Eagle Seeks Mediator in Talks

AMR Corp.’s American Eagle, the largest U.S. regional airline, asked for a federal mediator to help the carrier reach a new contract with its flight attendants, after more than two years of talks.
American Eagle asked the National Mediation Board to join the 28-month-old negotiations with the Assn. of Flight Attendants, which represents 1,200 of the carrier’s employees. Fort Worth-based AMR also is the parent of American Airlines.
