Intel to Launch Chips With Less Lead

Intel Corp. this year will launch chips that contain sharply reduced amounts of lead in response to demands for more environmentally friendly electronic goods, the world’s largest chip maker said.

Intel said the microprocessors and chipsets would have 5% of the lead used in its current products.
