Santa Ana Driver Slams Vehicle, Dies

A 49-year-old Santa Ana man died late Sunday after his vehicle rear-ended another at a Santa Ana intersection, police said.
Peter Fernandez, 49, died of injuries he suffered in the 9 p.m. crash, police said.
Fernandez, who police said was driving east at high speed on McFadden Avenue, slammed into a vehicle stopped at a light in the intersection with New Hope Street, causing it to hit a second vehicle.
The other vehicles’ occupants were not seriously injured.
